Types  of Nouns

Noun
Noun is the name of a Person, Place, Animal or a Thing.

 For Example 
 Person -  Ramesh, Ram, Sita, Geeta                         etc.
 Place -  Kota, Jhalawar, Jaipur ,Agra                    etc.
 Animals - Cow, Dog, Cat etc. 
 Things -  Table, Chair, Chalk, Pencil,                       Notebooks, Book etc.

                               Day - 1

There are 5 types of Nouns.

1. Proper Noun

2. Common Noun

3. Abstract  Noun

4. Material Noun

5. Collective Noun


Proper noun 

Proper noun is a noun that references a specific person, place, animal or a thing. Proper noun always starts with a capital letter.

For example -

Radha, Shyam, Santosh, Arvind, Geeta, Sita, Abhimanyu, Asnawar, Jhalawar, Kota, Jaipur, Delhi etc.


Common noun 

A common noun is a generic name for a person, place or a thing that belongs to a particular  class or a group.

For Example -

cow , city , village , school , hospital , station , bus stand , doll , fan , boy , girl etc.


Abstract noun
Abstract noun is a noun that refers to a feeling, state of a mind something that cannot be seen but only  felt.

For Example

Honesty , Bravery , Sadness , Happiness , Anger etc.


Material noun
Material noun is a noun that refers to the names of materials or substances out of which things are made.

For Example -

Iron, Gold, Silver , Wood , Paper etc.


Collective Noun
Collective Noun refers to name of a group or collection of many taken together.

For Example

Army , fleet , herd , bunch etc.
