Article

Indefinite Article  -  a , an

'A' and 'an' are infinite articles.

'A' is used with the words which begin with a consonant sound.

'An' is used with the words which begin with a vowel sound.

Vowel in English -   a  , e  ,  i  ,  o  ,  u
Check for these vowels before writing a /an

Exception -  honest , hour,  year
(These words always have "an" before them irrespective of noun after them)
Definite Article  -  the
